What’s up everybody in my name is Alex and I’m back with you today for another review and this time it’s the turn of the err which allows you to take card payments on the go so the err is a brilliant little device that connects to your smartphone both iOS and Android allows you to take card payments on the go it supports all major card types including Visa MasterCard American Express and also supports contactless payment methods as well including Apple pay and Android pay and the great thing about it is there’s no fixed fees you just pay a percentage of the transaction that you’re charging and so if you’re in the u.s. it’s 2.75 percent per transaction in the UK it is slightly less at 1.9 5% per transaction but there’s nothing else or no other monthly reoccurring fees to pay the only other thing you will have to pay for in the beginning is this the card reader itself until the end of April 2017 you can pick up the card reader for almost half price in the US right now it’s something like 39 dollars and in the

UK slightly less at 29 pounds but let’s get into the review right now and let me show you what comes in the box so when the  arrived at your house that we presented in this really nice kind of jewelry style box inside you’ll find a USB cable for charging the actual device also there’s a number of documentation things like this Quick Start Guide as well as a little leaflet they provide about their rewards scheme if you refer a friend and some stickers as well if you want to place those about to say that you are certified somewhat partner the device itself is small and lightweight but it does feel very well built it’s got a USB port on the bottom for charging as well as an on/off switch on the right hand side and the magnetic and readers on the top side it also does have a full keypad on the front for the UK version of the summer air so that people can put in their pin numbers using some up is incredibly easy to start off just head over to the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and download the summer app you’ll then have to create an account within the app once your accounts created you’ll then be ready to start charging cards just enter in an amount going for one pound here hit charge and that will connect via bluetooth and start up the device you’ll then be able to take a payment whether it’s contactless like I’m doing here or chip a pin

or magnetic strip within seconds the payments approved and you can then send a receipt either by email or via text to the person who’s just paid if your customer doesn’t want to use contactless they can of course use good old-fashioned chip and pin as well as the magnetic strip reader on the back both options work great now I couldn’t help myself I had to see if my Apple watch would work as well and happy to report it does I want to time how quick I can do a transaction with some ups so got my phone got the reader and I’m also going to pay using my Apple watch three two one go so I bring up the  app it’s already logged in I’m just going to charge one pound here in the UK hit charge that should then start to fire up there we go my device and it’s ready for me to tap my Apple watch so bring up my card on my uncle watch that’s it done so what’s my verdict about theerr I’ve got to say I just really like this thing it feels really well-made it just works every time and it’s compatible with a whole different variety of cards and contactless as well in all my testing of this it’s never once failed me it’s always worked the first time it’s always been very very easy to use and so I’ve really got to rate this thing if you found this video useful please do give it a thumbs up also let me know in the comments below whether you would find a  err useful and if you’re thinking about getting one and finally don’t forget to press that big subscribe button right there for more tech videos Sumup Amadeus
